Third Grade
ABOUT ME
My name is Cathy Stewart. I currently teach third grade at Elliott Elementary. The 2017-2018 school year will be my 6th year at Elliott, where I have taught ELL and Third Grade. Before I became an Elliott Owl, I spent time teaching ELL at Holmes Elementary, also in Lincoln. Previous to that teaching experience, I taught 1st grade and Preschool in Virginia. I received both my BA in English and my MA-Ed in Curriculum and Instruction at George Mason University in Virginia. I have 18 years total teaching experience.
In addition to being a teacher, I am a wife and mother. I have been married to Mr. Stewart for 24 years. I am a mother to 2 wonderful kids! Katelyn is 13 and will be entering 8th grade this year. Jacob is 9 and will be entering 4th grade. When I am away from the classroom, you will find me attending their sports and academic activities. We live in the country outside of Elmwood, NE and love the outdoors!
In my spare time I love to read, take my dog, Reggie, for walks, bike ride, and plan fun lessons for my class!
